Kacie holds an MS in Journalism from Northwestern University, specializing in Social Justice Journalism & Media Law. Her journalism and creative writing are featured in nonprofit newsrooms and publications across the nation, including Pulitzer Prize winning outlets. She is currently pursuing a JD at the University of Tennessee, focusing in civil rights law. 

Kacie has partner-edited for New York Times bestselling authors, composed prize-winning fiction, and taught AP Language & Composition to gifted high schoolers (purchase educational materials here).

Kacie lives in East Tennessee with her fiancée, Anna, and a menagerie of pets. When not writing or reporting, she's most likely at the tattoo studio, barefoot in the garden, or chasing around her nieces and nephew.
